PRAISE & THANKS
How often do you find it difficult to worship the only One worthy of your worship. Philippians 4:4 from the Message Bible says, “Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him!” With everything going on in our society today, I become less God oriented, I find it difficult to take the time to give him the praise and thanks He deserves. The Creator of the heavens and the earth, the plants and animals, and the One who created you and I in his own image, is worthy of our praise and thanks despite our circumstances.

I know God’s truth. I believe His truth, but still there are times, I don't know what to do. How often do you feel that same way? 2 Timothy 4:18 says, “The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into His heavenly kingdom.”It’s important, now more than ever, to know and hold onto that truth. That whatever we have going on in our lives, as discouraging and hectic as it may be, we can know for certain that with God, we’re in a win-win situation. Regardless of how the situation seems here and now, we have something far greater in store for us and also inside of us.
As God’s people, we have to learn to turn over our pain, fear and the dejection we encounter to our Father. Though they are unavoidable, we serve a God who is infinitely greater. Focusing and thanking him for wondrous ways and unconditional love can empower us to turn our mourning into dancing and turn our sorrow into joy.

I personally find solace through worship music. I turn on my worship playlist and worship God through song and allow His goodness to subdue my fear or pain. As I press into His presence, I am provided the strength to endure. His presence comforts and leads me into His peace. Colossians 3:15-17 says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
I encourage you to continue to seek Him through praise, worship and thanksgiving. Allow the peace that we are called to, rule over the fear and despair from the trials you may face. Know that God’s grace is always sufficient to those who serve Him. Blessings
